The first time you run a Readerware program you should see the following dialog:ĭo not click OK, the dialog will just close. The Yosemite upgrade removes any existing Java installations. You will have to go through this process even if you had Java installed prior to upgrading. Apple now require that you manually download and install Java. You clicked OK and the install was automatic.

It used to be that the first time you ran a Java program you were prompted to install Java.

Unfortunately with the release of Yosemite, Apple has made it harder to install Java.
